Pete used to be in a band called Hughe Grunt. In 2001 they recorded a 7 track CD called First Grunt.

Hughe Grunt were:

• keith green - all manner of drums & vocals
• paul johnson - merely guitar
• alan pearse - bassus maximus
• pete russell - lead vocals

Later, but not on this album, gary mills, a rhythm guitarist, joined us.

3. bright lights, big city (reed)
4. cocaine (cale)
5. hoochie coochie man (dixon)
6. crossroads (johnson)
